Listening to athletes: the crucial first step
It all starts with an essential phase: listening to our customers’ needs. Thanks to feedback from our customers and exchanges with athletes of all levels, we identify improvements to be made to existing equipment and new market expectations. We are constantly looking for ways to improve each product. That’s why we’ve developed ultra-resistant grips like powergrip and 5 and 7 mm knee pads offering optimum support without sacrificing comfort. Here we have feedback from Arnaud, for example, who tells us about a problem with thepowergrip V1 wrapping around the bar… So we set out to find out why the handle was wrapping around. After several tests, we came to the following conclusion: the size is probably too big for his hand, but the seam allowance at the end of the fin must have had something to do with it. Indeed, the larger the paddle, the greater the unused space, and with a seam allowance at the tip of the fin, this increases the risk of the fin rolling up during movements such as muscle-ups. We have therefore decided to do away with this seam allowance on the powergrip V2. The importance of choosing the right size is not to be overlooked.
From concept to prototype: precision work
Once the idea has been conceived, thought through, rethought and finally validated, our team works closely with manufacturers and materials specialists to design the first prototypes. We rigorously select raw materials to guarantee durability, comfort and performance. We come up with the most suitable form based on feedback from customers and athletes, and the passion for cross-training that drives all of us on the WODANDGO team. For example, our potholders are tested on different bar surfaces to ensure optimum grip.
Testing and fine-tuning: the need for performance
Our prototypes are then subjected to rigorous testing in real-life conditions. We work with partner athletes such as Guillaume Magnouat, Jules Castor, Jules Boudou and Alizée Andréani to put our products through their paces during intensive training sessions. Every detail is analyzed: resistance, ergonomics, comfort… Nothing is left to chance! If necessary, adjustments are made before final production, and sometimes even afterwards… And yes, WODANDGO doesn’t hesitate to modify the final product on a future production run if it’s for the better!Production and quality control
Once prototypes have been validated, production is launched with our partner manufacturers. We carry out strict quality control at every stage, from manufacturing to packaging, to guarantee products that meet our high standards. Once production has been received, we ensure that each accessory meets our customers’ expectations before being dispatched.Production and quality control
