Listening to athletes: the crucial first step

It all begins with an essential phase: listening to the needs of practitioners. Thanks to feedback from our customers and discussions with athletes of all levels, we identify improvements to existing equipment and new market expectations. We are constantly seeking to improve each product. This is how we developed ultra-resistant grips like the powergrip and 5 and 7 mm knee sleeves offering optimal support without sacrificing comfort.

Here, we have feedback from Arnaud, for example, who reported an issue with the grip (powergrip V1) rolling around the bar... So, we sought to understand why the grip was rolling. After several tests, we came to the conclusion that the size was probably too large for his hand, but the return stitching at the tip of the palm must have played a role. Indeed, the larger the grip, the more unused space there is, and with return stitching at the tip of the palm, this increases the risk of it rolling up during movements such as muscle-ups. We therefore decided to remove this return stitching on the powergrip V2. The importance of choosing the right size should therefore not be overlooked.

From concept to prototype: precision work

Once the idea is conceived, thought through, re-thought, and finally validated, our team works closely with manufacturers and material specialists to design the first prototypes. We rigorously select raw materials to guarantee durability, comfort, and performance. We determine the most suitable shape based on feedback from customers and athletes, as well as the passion for cross-training that drives all of us on the WODANDGO team. For example, our grips are tested on different bar surfaces to ensure optimal grip.

Tests and adjustments: the demands of performance

Our prototypes are then subjected to rigorous real-world testing. We collaborate with partner athletes, such as Guillaume Magnouat, Jules Castor, Jules Boudou, and Alizée Andréani, to test our products during intensive training sessions. Every detail is analyzed: resistance, ergonomics, comfort... Nothing is left to chance! If necessary, adjustments are made before final production, and sometimes even afterwards... And yes, WODANDGO does not hesitate to modify the final product for future production if it means improvement!

Once the prototypes are validated, production is launched with our partner manufacturers. We carry out strict quality control at every stage, from manufacturing to packaging, to guarantee products that meet our high standards.
